Well, Nubin is active, so guess it went better than it looked. Practice squad elevation Raheem Layne is also active, so some depth built in at safety.
The inactives:
• QB Jake Haener (emergency QB)
• TE Theo Johnson
• OL Marcus Mbow
• OL Josh Sills
• CB Greg Newsome
• CB Nikko Reed
• S Jevon Holland
Mbow was questionable with a knee injury. JC Davis is the swing tackle today. · Quoting Dan Duggan: Never seen this before: S Tyler Nubin, who is questionable with a neck injury, went through a pregame workout in his helmet and shoulder pads.
Nubin hit a pad, hit the goal post and did some DB drills. He then had a long conversation with ST coordinator Chris Horton and trainers and went back and hit the goal post a few more times. Didn’t seem to go well, but we’ll see when inactives come out in 35 minutes

- Oct 25 Dan Duggan (X) My theory on Nubin: He may be active just to serve as the personal protector on punts. That's an important role and Micah McFadden filled in for Nubin last week. With McFadden due for a full workload at MLB, his ST snaps need to be reduced. Might explain why ST coordinator Chris Horton was such a keen observer of Nubin's pregame workout · Quoting Dan Duggan: Well, Nubin is active, so guess it went better than it looked. I'll get to the defense shortly, but wanted to post this before anyone else gets cut! · Quoting Dan Duggan: Not enough hours in Mondays lately! Better late than never, here's the Giants' offensive snap counts vs. the Saints:
• Nobody, including Harbaugh, likes a four-man RB rotation. That needs to end. Eliminating Najee Harris from the equation is the obvious call. I note every week here how he has no juice. If he does fall out of the rotation, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the next vet sent packing.
Devin Singletary has done a nice job in limited reps, so if they want to keep him in the mix, maybe as the third-down back, that's fine. But it's time to go back to featuring Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy. They're the best RBs on the roster. And both should benefit whenever the change to JJ McCarthy comes, as that will open up some lanes on zone reads.
Tracy played well Sunday considering no RB got anything going on the ground. Impressive YAC on the TD and multiple strong…

Andrew Thomas said the spotter signaled for a concussion check because he was slow to get up, which was due to his persistent adductor injury. Thomas cleared the concussion evaluation but the coaches chose to keep him out for the final drives and stuck with JC Davis at left tackle.

- Oct 18 Ed Valentine (Bluesky) J.C. Davis has replaced Andrew Thomas at left tackle. Thomas being evaluated for concussion.
- QB Jake Haener (Emergency QB) TE Theo Johnson OL JC Davis DL Bobby Jamison-Travis CB Colton Hood S Tyler Nubin · Quoting Jimmy: @DDuggan21 What is your prediction as to who will be inactive?
- Still a long ways to go on this. Andrew Thomas has the best chance considering he's missed practices the past few weeks. But if they are unable to go, the replacements ... Jermaine Eluemunor -- Marcus Mbow Andrew Thomas -- J.C. Davis Abdul Carter -- Trace Ford · Quoting Jordan Raanan: LT Andrew Thomas (groin), RT Jermaine Eluemunor (calf) and OLB Abdul Carter (calf) all worked on the side with trainers during the open portion of practice. Not great that all three weren't in uniform.
- Nothing to do with it. Josh Gesky is a guard. Gesky does reunite with his college teammate J.C. Davis. · Quoting GIANTS LEAKS: @JordanRaanan This does not bode well for JE or Andrew Thomas?

- Projected inactives: • TE Thomas Fidone. Weekly healthy scratch. • OL JC Davis: Weekly healthy scratch. • DL Bobby Jamison-Travis: Weekly healthy scratch. • DL Darius Alexander. Signing Josh Tupou instead of elevating him last week signals a shift in the pecking order. • OLB Brian Burns (ankle): Not sure why they listed him as questionable, but at least it doesn’t appear long-term. • CB Deonte Banks (calf): Expecting another start for Colton Hood. • S Tyler Nubin (calf): Expecting Ar’Darius Washington to step in. - Sep 21 Dan Duggan (X) The Giants elevated Berrios and Harrison for the second straight week · Quoting Dan Duggan: Giants-Rams pregame thought No. 3. Here's my predictions for the practice squad elevations and the inactives: • Expecting the same practice squad elevations as last week: WR/KR Braxton Berrios and OLB Malik Harrison. Here’s my projection for the Giants’ inactives. Feel confident in the positions, but a few toss-ups: • RB Najee Harris: As soon as Tyrone Tracy fumbled last week, I had Harris taking his spot on the active roster. But Tracy plays ST and his KR skills are valuable with Deonte Banks questionable (I don't think Banks plays). Harris’ time is coming. • TE Thomas Fidone: No path to a game-day jersey if the tight ends stay healthy. • OL JC Davis: Redshirt season barring a tackle injury. • DL Bobby Jamison-Travis: Another redshirt candidate. • DL CJ Okoye: Josh Tupou was signed to the 53 for a reason. This spot is a toss up between Okoye and Darius Alexander. Think Alexander…
