- Oct 20 Ed Valentine (Bluesky) Flurry of moves today by the #NYGiants. -- Jihad Ward and Najee Harris out. Trace Ford signed to 53-man roster from practice squad. Ex-Jets/Chiefs WR Jason Brownlee added to practice squad.

- Oct 20 Dan Duggan (X) Giants-Saints defensive snap counts (trying to post before any more cuts): • Slight uptick in DJ Reader's playing time. Has to be incredibly challenging to limit his snaps because he is far and away their best DT. His TFL on third-and-goal before halftime could have been a game-changing play. Shelby Harris is a tier or two below, and then it drops off a cliff when they get to the young guys. • Abdul Carter was dominant early with the consecutive holding penalties. Bad tackles just don't have a chance against him. He was on a pitch count while playing through a calf injury. He was quieter as the game progressed, but it also turned into a run-heavy second half. Kayvon Thibodeaux has been better the past two weeks, but they still need more. The roughing the passer penalty was just unnecessary. I'll just say the Jihad Ward release was not a surprise. Trace Ford is out of practice squad elevations. I'm not sure it's a lock that he gets signed to the 53. You're seeing the difference…
- Defensive snap counts for the #NYGiants in Week 6: -- Jason Pinnock got 45 snaps and Ar'Darius Washington 29 in place of Tyler Nubin. -- Trace Ford played 30 -- Bobby Jamison-Travis got 18 snaps in his first action -- Nic Jones played 31 snaps after Greg Newsome was concussed

Giants only elevated OLB Trace Ford. So they’re rolling with four WR. Strong sign that Devin Singletary will be active after being a healthy scratch the past three games · Quoting Dan Duggan: Let's get through practice squad elevations first! That will impact the inactive list. OLB Trace Ford seems like a lock for his third straight elevation.
My question is if they elevate WR Dalen Cambre again. He played two offensive snaps and 11 special teams snaps last week. Wonder if they try to get by with four WR so they can activate Devin Singletary, who could have a bigger impact on the game

- Still a long ways to go on this. Andrew Thomas has the best chance considering he's missed practices the past few weeks. But if they are unable to go, the replacements ... Jermaine Eluemunor -- Marcus Mbow Andrew Thomas -- J.C. Davis Abdul Carter -- Trace Ford · Quoting Jordan Raanan: LT Andrew Thomas (groin), RT Jermaine Eluemunor (calf) and OLB Abdul Carter (calf) all worked on the side with trainers during the open portion of practice. Not great that all three weren't in uniform.
- Giants' defensive snap counts vs. Commanders: • Very even split among the top three defensive tackles. That's mostly because Darius Alexander was used as an interior rusher on passing downs. He has replaced Chauncey Golston, while Jihad Ward replaced Kayvon Thibodeaux (who has shifted outside to replace Brian Burns). DJ Reader has been so steady. They've shown impressive discipline not over-using him, which can't be easy because the drop off is significant when he's off the field. Jacory Croskey-Merritt's 33-yard touchdown run on the opening drive came on the first play after Reader and Shelby Harris were replaced by Alexander and CJ Okoye. Okoye got easily displaced from the gap where the run went. Harris has been playing better recently, but the depth here is still a concern. Ward failed to make an impact in his debut in his role as an interior rusher on passing downs and a DE in the base 3-4. • Abdul Carter continues to play at an extremely high level. He had six pressures…
- Defensive snap counts for the #NYGiants in Week 5: -- Only 35 (56%) for Tyler Nubin due both to his play, and to injury -- 23 snaps for Jihad Ward -- 16 snaps for Trace Ford

- Oct 10 Dan Duggan (X) The Giants elevated Cambre and Ford and placed Golston on IR. A reminder, there's no short-term IR or long-term IR designation. Every player who goes on IR during the season is eligible to be activated after four weeks. My expectation is that Golston's injury will sideline him long-term, potentially for the rest of the season · Quoting Dan Duggan: Giants seemingly have two obvious practice squad elevations today: WR Dalen Cambre and OLB Trace Ford. Only intrigue is if they sign either to the 53 and put Chauncey Golston (neck) on IR. They’ll likely both sign to the 53 eventually, but the Giants could exhaust their P-squad elevations first.
- Oct 10 Jordan Raanan (X) The Giants are elevating WR Dalen Cambre and OLB Trace Ford from the practice squad for Sunday vs. Washington. Cambre is a WR and returner option after losing Braxton Berrios. OLB Chauncey Golston (neck) also being placed on IR.+1

- Oct 10 Ed Valentine (Bluesky) My best guess as practice squad elevations for the #NYGiants today: -- WR Dalen Cambre (they only have 4 WRs on the 53) -- OLB Trace Ford (He was elevated last week, and now Chauncey Golston is out with a neck injury) Golston might be headed to IR, so someone could be added to the 53 today.

The Giants elevated Jake Haener, who is likely to be the backup QB on Sunday vs. Arizona. Not enough time for J.J. McCarthy to have full command of a good chunk of the playbook.
Also OLB Trace Ford will make his debut this season with Brian Burns out for the season.
