I'll get to the defense shortly, but wanted to post this before anyone else gets cut! · Quoting Dan Duggan: Not enough hours in Mondays lately! Better late than never, here's the Giants' offensive snap counts vs. the Saints:
• Nobody, including Harbaugh, likes a four-man RB rotation. That needs to end. Eliminating Najee Harris from the equation is the obvious call. I note every week here how he has no juice. If he does fall out of the rotation, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the next vet sent packing.
Devin Singletary has done a nice job in limited reps, so if they want to keep him in the mix, maybe as the third-down back, that's fine. But it's time to go back to featuring Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy. They're the best RBs on the roster. And both should benefit whenever the change to JJ McCarthy comes, as that will open up some lanes on zone reads.
Tracy played well Sunday considering no RB got anything going on the ground. Impressive YAC on the TD and multiple strong…

- Oct 18 Ed Valentine (Bluesky) I have a suggestion for Matt Nagy. How about the #NYGiants stop running behind Thomas Fidone and Marcus Mbow, and go behind Andrew Thomas.
- Theo Johnson was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, so this is a surprise setback. Could be some offensive snaps coming for camp star Thomas Fidone. First impression is optimism on the three questionable players (they were actually listed as limited today), but will see what I can nail down in the next 24-36 hours · Quoting Dan Salomone: Giants Game Statuses for Week 6 Out: ▪️CB Colton Hood (Concussion) ▪️TE Theo Johnson (Neck) ▪️S Tyler Nubin (Neck) Questionable: ▪️OLB Abdul Carter (Calf) ▪️RT Jermaine Eluemunor (Calf) ▪️LT Andrew Thomas (Groin)

- Giants-Rams pregame thought No. 3. Here's my predictions for the practice squad elevations and the inactives: • Expecting the same practice squad elevations as last week: WR/KR Braxton Berrios and OLB Malik Harrison. Here’s my projection for the Giants’ inactives. Feel confident in the positions, but a few toss-ups: • RB Najee Harris: As soon as Tyrone Tracy fumbled last week, I had Harris taking his spot on the active roster. But Tracy plays ST and his KR skills are valuable with Deonte Banks questionable (I don't think Banks plays). Harris’ time is coming. • TE Thomas Fidone: No path to a game-day jersey if the tight ends stay healthy. • OL JC Davis: Redshirt season barring a tackle injury. • DL Bobby Jamison-Travis: Another redshirt candidate. • DL CJ Okoye: Josh Tupou was signed to the 53 for a reason. This spot is a toss up between Okoye and Darius Alexander. Think Alexander gets the nod because he can play on passing downs. • CB Deonte Banks: He’s listed as…

- Projected inactives: • TE Thomas Fidone. Weekly healthy scratch. • OL JC Davis: Weekly healthy scratch. • DL Bobby Jamison-Travis: Weekly healthy scratch. • DL Darius Alexander. Signing Josh Tupou instead of elevating him last week signals a shift in the pecking order. • OLB Brian Burns (ankle): Not sure why they listed him as questionable, but at least it doesn’t appear long-term. • CB Deonte Banks (calf): Expecting another start for Colton Hood. • S Tyler Nubin (calf): Expecting Ar’Darius Washington to step in. - The Giants don’t have another viable punt returner on the roster, so barring an outside addition, safe bet he’ll be elevated for the opener. Game Plays 2 in-game updates such as touchdowns, sacks and drives
- Giants offensive snap counts vs. the Texans: • The Giants subbed Jameis Winston in for five tush-push plays. He converted sneaks on a third-and-1 and a fourth-and-1. It took him two tries to sneak it in from the 1 for a TD. All of the sneaks opened up the 19-yard handoff to Cam Skattebo from the tush-push alignment. • The backfield was shaping up as an even split before Tyrone Tracy left with a hamstring injury in the second quarter. Skattebo had played 14 snaps compared to 11 snaps for Tracy at that point. Both backs and Devin Singletary played on early third downs. As the game progressed, Singletary took over as the third-down back while mixing in on early downs. Skattebo indicated his hamstring was OK after the game and he has the bye to recover, but after Tracy's surprise addition to IR yesterday, let's wait and see where he's at when they return to practice next week. Skattebo missed chunks of time last offseason with a hamstring. It's tempting to look at the results when…
