Or draft the next Braelon Allen for 1/15th the price.
So you can afford Allen and a Jermaine Eluemunor instead of a Breece Hall. · Quoting Ryan Dunleavy: #Giants fans, would you trade a 3RD RD pick for Breece Hall and his contract through 2028?
#Jets should stick with Braelon Allen as RB1

Giants-Texans pregame thoughts:
• There are different games during the season when you feel like you can learn a lot about a team. This feels like one of those games after the coaches turned up the heat this week. Had Harbaugh calling out a running back — any running back — to step up and Dennard Wilson putting the defense's effort on blast. This team has proven to be mentally tough this season, so we'll see how they respond today.
• JJ McCarthy is a total wild card. Really impossible to predict what we'll see him from today. But I do expect the offense to shift back to what we saw in the opener. McCarthy's legs should help open up some lanes on zone read. But the Texans have a stout run defense. Won't be easy to just ground-and-pound their way through this one.
• Cam Skattebo is out of the doghouse. Expecting a time share with Tyrone Tracy, with Devin Singletary mixed in. Harbaugh hoping someone emerges and they can ride that back.
• Malik Nabers has been on a tear: 6-112-1,…
Why it's #2 Cam Skattebo (top-50)

Among the five questionable players, the two safeties are the most uncertain from what I’ve gathered.
I believe Jevon Holland will try to get final clearance from the concussion protocol in the morning before the team flies to Houston. Impossible to predict how that will go. Tyler Nubin’s status is up in the air as well.
Expecting Paulson Adebo to be activated and start at corner.
Jermaine Eluemunor and Marcus Mbow being limited the past two days is encouraging, but don’t have definitive word on their statuses. No game status for Andrew Thomas, so he’s good to go (or at least as good as he can be with the lingering groin injury). · Quoting Dan Salomone: Giants Game Statuses for Week 7

Maybe I’m wrong but why is ricard on the field for 24% of plays ? · Quoting Dan Duggan: Apologies for the delay in the snap counts breakdown, but kids were off from school yesterday and puppy decided to snack on a sock so there was a fun emergency vet visit. • I've never been a fan of rotating QBs. Even for all those years in New Orleans, I'm not sure taking one of the best QBs ever off the field for Taysom Hill was a smart strategy. And JJ McCarthy isn't Hill as a runner. They had a ton of confusion before one snap deep in the red zone (a 1-yard Tyrone Tracy run) and then Jameis Winston had a delay of game on the next play after shuttling back in at QB. The negatives outweigh the positives with the rotation. If you want to play McCarthy (eventually), just play him. Until then, let Winston be the QB.

- Jermaine Eluemunor, who essentially pitched a shutout in his matchup with Will Anderson: “If you didn’t hear (51's) name today, then I did a pretty good job. I feel like I’m not too shy about saying I’m the best right tackle in the NFL, so people can go watch the tape and take from that what they will.”

- Oct 18 Jordan Raanan (X) Giants will be without Jermaine Eluemunor this week vs. Saints.
- Oct 18 Dan Duggan (X) Giants-Saints pregame thoughts: • Finally, no rain! Will be nice to watch a game that isn't heavily impacted by the weather. • The Giants were forced into the best version of their offense because they were trailing by two scores in the second half of last week's game. Don't want Jameis Winston dropping back 60 times every week, but the best players on this offense are Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely. The offense needs to run through them. If you have to live with a bad pick here and there, that's OK because Jameis is also delivering yards/touchdowns. • Nabers saying he's only 80% back is encouraging considering he has 17 catches for 233 yards and two touchdowns in the past two games. That seems like an accurate assessment because he has left some plays on the field while being productive. This matchup should provide an opportunity for another big game. • Have covered the RB shake-up plenty. Not much more to say. I don't get the Najee Harris love from the coaching staff, but this…
- The Giants may need to stop forcing a power run game and let Jameis Winston sling it. Find out why the offense could be better this way, plus hear from Jermaine Eluemunor on the latest episode of Locked On Giants. 📸 Amber Searls-IMAGN Images
