- Deadline is 4 pm Monday for MNF. Don’t think there’s much suspense, expecting Braxton Berrios and Malik Harrison again · Quoting anthony pizzariello: @DDuggan21 I guess tomorrow is practice squad elevations
- Practice squad LB Malik Harrison was working with the OLB in individual drills. Practice squad FB Grant Finley was with the DL — the position he played in college at Missouri Western State.
- Couple salary cap/roster notes: • The Giants are $1.3M over the cap, according to the NFLPA database. They will need to be under by Wednesday because top 51 accounting ends when the season starts. They don't need to do anything dramatic since they only need a few million to operate (at least for now). Paulson Adebo, Jevon Holland, Darius Slayton and Jon Runyan have the biggest base salaries for a restructure. It doesn't really matter who they restructure, but Schoen has typically avoided restructures on possible cap casualties, so from that group, I suspect Holland will be first up. • Schoen teased the signing of a veteran defensive lineman to the practice squad next week (don't think Jihad Ward's IG video was an announcement). They have the maximum of six veterans on their practice squad, so they'd need to cut someone from this group — WR Braxton Berrios, WR Jalin Hyatt, WR Charlie Jones, OL Darian Kinnard, DL Josh Tupou, LB Malik Harrison — to add another vet. The other option…
- The Steelers' full list of releases: WRs Brandon Smith, Max Hurleman RBs Travis Homer, Lew Nichols OL Doug Nester, Steven Jones DBs Devan Boykin, Doneiko Slaughter, D'Shawn Jamison, Sebastian Castro LBs Elandon Roberts, Malik Harrison, Jacoby Windmon EDGE Julius Welschof DL Esezi Otomewo, Dean Lowry, Kyler Baugh, Anthony Goodlow TEs Lake McRee, Lance Mason They've also placed OL Jack Driscoll and S DeShon Elliott on IR. CB Donte Kent will remain on the PUP list and have to miss the first four games.

- Sep 12 Jordan Raanan (X) This at the very least gives the Giants options at wide receiver if Malik Nabers doesn't play. Other moves: Elevated Braxton Berrios for Week 1 vs the Cowboys as expected. Will be the team's returner and contribute as WR. Elevated LB Malik Harrison. Will play special teams.

- Sep 12 Dan Duggan (X) Giants have, in fact, elevated Berrios and Harrison · Quoting Dan Duggan: It’s Saturday, which means practice squad elevations/other transactions must be filed by 4 pm. WR/KR Braxton Berrios is a lock to be elevated. He’ll serve as the punt returner. Also expect him to return kickoffs alongside Deonte Banks. LB Malik Harrison is the other strong possibility. Harrison was a core special teamer in Baltimore from 2020-24, so I think they brought him in to play. The Giants have an open roster spot, but not expecting them to fill it today because signing a vet like Berrios or Harrison would guarantee their salary for the season. They can wait to sign one next week or continue the elevations for the first three games. As I noted yesterday, I don’t think the elevations will tell us anything about Malik Nabers’ status *unless* they sign/elevate a second WR from the practice squad. That would be a very bad sign. Otherwise, the intrigue will continue…
