S Jevon Holland (concussion) also was on the field practicing to some degree.

- Oct 22 Dan Duggan (X) Also didn't spot TE Chris Manhertz (?). He wasn't on the injury report yesterday · Quoting Dan Duggan: Thursday has become the return-to-work day for the Giants. OTs Andrew Thomas (groin), Jermaine Eluemunor (calf) and Marcus Mbow (knee) were back on the field. S Jevon Holland (concussion) was participating. Seems like he’s on track to clear for Sunday. Didn’t see him move meaningfully much even though he was out there+1
- Oct 23 Dan Duggan (X) Among the five questionable players, the two safeties are the most uncertain from what I’ve gathered. I believe Jevon Holland will try to get final clearance from the concussion protocol in the morning before the team flies to Houston. Impossible to predict how that will go. Tyler Nubin’s status is up in the air as well. Expecting Paulson Adebo to be activated and start at corner. Jermaine Eluemunor and Marcus Mbow being limited the past two days is encouraging, but don’t have definitive word on their statuses. No game status for Andrew Thomas, so he’s good to go (or at least as good as he can be with the lingering groin injury). · Quoting Dan Salomone: Giants Game Statuses for Week 7 Out: ▪️LB Tremaine Edmunds (Shoulder) ▪️CB Greg Newsome II (Concussion) Doubtful: ▪️TE Theo Johnson (Neck) Questionable: ▪️CB Paulson Adebo (Knee) ▪️RT Jermaine Eluemunor (Calf) ▪️S Jevón Holland (Concussion) ▪️OL Marcus Mbow (Knee) ▪️S Tyler Nubin (Neck)

I'll get to the defense shortly, but wanted to post this before anyone else gets cut! · Quoting Dan Duggan: Not enough hours in Mondays lately! Better late than never, here's the Giants' offensive snap counts vs. the Saints:
• Nobody, including Harbaugh, likes a four-man RB rotation. That needs to end. Eliminating Najee Harris from the equation is the obvious call. I note every week here how he has no juice. If he does fall out of the rotation, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the next vet sent packing.
Devin Singletary has done a nice job in limited reps, so if they want to keep him in the mix, maybe as the third-down back, that's fine. But it's time to go back to featuring Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy. They're the best RBs on the roster. And both should benefit whenever the change to JJ McCarthy comes, as that will open up some lanes on zone reads.
Tracy played well Sunday considering no RB got anything going on the ground. Impressive YAC on the TD and multiple strong…

Maybe I’m wrong but why is ricard on the field for 24% of plays ? · Quoting Dan Duggan: Apologies for the delay in the snap counts breakdown, but kids were off from school yesterday and puppy decided to snack on a sock so there was a fun emergency vet visit. Anyway, here are the Giants' offensive snap counts vs. the Commanders:
• I've never been a fan of rotating QBs. Even for all those years in New Orleans, I'm not sure taking one of the best QBs ever off the field for Taysom Hill was a smart strategy. And JJ McCarthy isn't Hill as a runner. They had a ton of confusion before one snap deep in the red zone (a 1-yard Tyrone Tracy run) and then Jameis Winston had a delay of game on the next play after shuttling back in at QB. The negatives outweigh the positives with the rotation. If you want to play McCarthy (eventually), just play him. Until then, let Winston be the QB.
• They're in a tough spot at RB. Cam Skattebo is their best back, but he hasn't been effective this season (3.6…

- Oct 25 Patricia Traina (Bluesky) Giants’ Tyler Nubin Active vs. Texans; Jevon Holland, Marcus Mbow Out (and other lineup notes)+1
- Oct 25 Dan Duggan (X) My theory on Nubin: He may be active just to serve as the personal protector on punts. That's an important role and Micah McFadden filled in for Nubin last week. With McFadden due for a full workload at MLB, his ST snaps need to be reduced. Might explain why ST coordinator Chris Horton was such a keen observer of Nubin's pregame workout · Quoting Dan Duggan: Well, Nubin is active, so guess it went better than it looked. The inactives: • QB Jake Haener (emergency QB) • TE Theo Johnson • OL Marcus Mbow • OL Josh Sills • CB Greg Newsome • CB Nikko Reed • S Jevon Holland Mbow was questionable with a knee injury. JC Davis is the swing tackle today.
