Giants-Saints pregame thoughts:
• Finally, no rain! Will be nice to watch a game that isn't heavily impacted by the weather.
• The Giants were forced into the best version of their offense because they were trailing by two scores in the second half of last week's game. Don't want Jameis Winston dropping back 60 times every week, but the best players on this offense are Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely. The offense needs to run through them. If you have to live with a bad pick here and there, that's OK because Jameis is also delivering yards/touchdowns.
• Nabers saying he's only 80% back is encouraging considering he has 17 catches for 233 yards and two touchdowns in the past two games. That seems like an accurate assessment because he has left some plays on the field while being productive. This matchup should provide an opportunity for another big game.
• Have covered the RB shake-up plenty. Not much more to say. I don't get the Najee Harris love from the coaching staff, but this…

Shouldn't be confusing:
-49ers traded a 2nd-round pick for Jimmy Garoppolo and ended up getting a half-decade of good play at the most important position. Injuries were the limiting factor there.
-49ers traded a 3rd-round pick for Chase Young and got 9 games and 2.5 sacks · Quoting hayden: @LombardiHimself Kinda confused how jimmy wouldnt be in the same tier as chase young, both had to give up a good amount and they were both mediocre and both played a big part in a super bowl run with the team and everything after that wasnt notable

- Saints OLB Chase Young has 14 sacks over his past 17 games since returning from a neck injury in Week 6 of last season. That's tied for third-most in the NFL over that stretch.
- Two notable injury absences in Vikings-Saints: Vikings LT Christian Darrisaw Ryan Van Demark makes his 7th NFL start and first with MIN. He'll spend most of his time matched up against the Saints' best pass rusher, Chase Young, who has 13.5 sacks in his last 15 games. The Vikings probably have to give Van Demark some chip help and/or use quick passes to not let Young wreck the game. Saints LB Kaden Elliss Not a huge name, but one of the Saints' best players. Great tackler, run defender, blitzer. Not a coincidence that he missed his first game last week and the Saints looked helpless against the Falcons' run game. Pete Werner and Danny Stutsman really struggled.

I appreciated that Chase Young’s first move upon getting to Lamar Jackson for both sacks was to get a handful of jersey so he could keep a hold of him. The DE instinct is to go for the a hit, but he’s going to make you miss. He always makes you miss. · Quoting New Orleans Saints: Once again, CHASE YOUNG.
