- Oct 26 Jeff Duncan (X) Erik McCoy said as much after the game. Said the Steelers had them well-scouted and did some things up front they hadn’t shown on film. Plus, they’re just really good. · Quoting Jon Ledyard: About as well-defended a QB sneak as I've seen. Tyler Shough has gone left on 4/5 QB sneaks this season. Sure looks like Steelers were scouted and ready for it. Heyward/Highsmith submarined everything and Holcomb was ready to go over the top fast. Queen dove right through the A-gap to close that option. Ramsey/Wilson clean up. Benton works around to help push back. Brisker being Brisker (crazy).

- Oct 25 John Sigler (Bluesky) Tyler Shough's teammates like Pro Bowl center Erik McCoy admit they're letting him down. The Saints can't keep asking him to be perfect: 'I feel like we put a lot of pressure on him today. And that's not fair to him'
- Oct 25 John Sigler (Bluesky) I don't even credit Kellen Moore for finding Tyler Shough. Jeff Ireland has talked about how the Saints were scouting him at Texas Tech, before he transferred to Louisville. What's important is they have a QB they can win games because of. They must find a coach who won't fail him.
- Oct 25 Jeff Nowak (X) Saints center Erik McCoy said the run game struggles are putting too much pressure on Tyler Shough "to do everything" ... and the results follow: ‘I think Tyler is a baller. - Oct 25 Alan Saunders (X) Interesting. Tyler Shough has not been particularly good against the blitz this year, but both of the first two third down conversions were vs. some kind of man/match look.

- Oct 21 Pat Leonard (X) One interesting part of John Harbaugh switching QBs is that the Giants' offense was not involved at all in the biggest swing of Sunday's loss to the Saints. The Giants led 10-0 with 2:27 left in the 2nd Q: ⚫️ Special teams: Allowed 41-yard kick return to NO 44 yard-line. Saints kick a 58-yard FG SCORE: 10-3 ⚫️ Special teams: Charlie Jones fumble gives Saints 1st and 10 at Giants 28-yard line with 1:11 left in 2nd Q ⚫️ Defense: Allows 25-yard Tyler Shough scramble. Saints score a TD on 4th and goal HALFTIME SCORE: 10-10 ⚫️ Defense: Allows 5-play, 79-yard Saints TD drive. SCORE: 17-10 Saints Only then did the Giants' offense get the ball back in its hands. And yes, Winston's offense was a mess after that before the QB switch: ⚫️ Three straight penalties and Punt ⚫️ Interception ⚫️ 3rd down sack and Punt ⚫️ Interception I just don't think the quarterback is the reason the Giants are playing too much losing football in stretches lately. Maybe J.J. McCarthy can rescue the rest…

- Oct 20 Dan Duggan (X) Giants-Saints defensive snap counts (trying to post before any more cuts): • Slight uptick in DJ Reader's playing time. Has to be incredibly challenging to limit his snaps because he is far and away their best DT. His TFL on third-and-goal before halftime could have been a game-changing play. Shelby Harris is a tier or two below, and then it drops off a cliff when they get to the young guys. • Abdul Carter was dominant early with the consecutive holding penalties. Bad tackles just don't have a chance against him. He was on a pitch count while playing through a calf injury. He was quieter as the game progressed, but it also turned into a run-heavy second half. Kayvon Thibodeaux has been better the past two weeks, but they still need more. The roughing the passer penalty was just unnecessary. I'll just say the Jihad Ward release was not a surprise. Trace Ford is out of practice squad elevations. I'm not sure it's a lock that he gets signed to the 53. You're seeing the difference…
