Good read.
Point one is the most important · Quoting Chris Kouffman: Some more thoughts on the Dolphins game yesterday with SOME of the film review in the can:
- Miami needs to figure out how to prevent rookie CB Chris Johnson being singly targeted on over a THIRD of all pass plays, because that's what happened. Cousins ran the entire passing attack thru a rookie who was asked to play both inside and outside, with hardly any personnel-mixing to give the Raiders an extra layer of complexity. The problem is they didn't feel Kyle Louis was ready for this game, so they only played him 3 snaps, and he injured his knee on one of those 3 snaps. Figuring this out and not getting the rookie's confidence in the toilet should be top priority.
- From a defensive standpoint the Dolphins will throw away the first 5 drives, where they allowed the better part of 50 yards per drive and 6 yards per play to go along with the 24 points, and try and build on the second 5 drives, where they allowed…

- 5d Sam Warren (X) Klint Kubiak said it was the plan going into the game to manage Maxx Crosby's snaps. · Quoting Sam Warren: Maxx Crosby played 46 defensive snaps (82%) in the Raiders win over the Dolphins, staying off the field for 10 snaps. He played in over 94% of defensive snaps in each of the last 4 seasons. 6 of those missed plays came at the start of the third defensive drive, in which Miami drove down the field before Crosby drew a holding penalty on his first play back that helped force a field goal. He then missed the 2 plays of Miami's second drive of the 2nd half where Malik Willis threw his interception. He was then off the field for the Dolphins first 2 offensive plays of the 4th quarter.

- Mike McDaniel on Maxx Crosby: “He is relentless and I enjoy the challenge, but it would be cool if he was tried and wanted to take a nap.”
- Maxx Crosby on his approach to the Raiders managing his snaps: "I think maturity is part of it too. Everyone knows it was a crazy offseason to say the least. I think I grew in a lot of ways. Something my guy Tim Grover, I've been working with him for a long, long time now. And something he helped me the most with is, especially these last couple of years, just like mastering the art of being calm. You can't press and be the best version of yourself. You've just got to do everything in your power to put yourself in that position to be the best version of you. But also you've got to trust others and the ones that around me like (DC Rob Leonard) and my teammates and the guys that are going to war with me. So that's really where I'm at mentally and felt great. And I just want to continue stacking days."
