Point one is the most important · Quoting Chris Kouffman: Some more thoughts on the Dolphins game yesterday with SOME of the film review in the can:
- Miami needs to figure out how to prevent rookie CB Chris Johnson being singly targeted on over a THIRD of all pass plays, because that's what happened. Cousins ran the entire passing attack thru a rookie who was asked to play both inside and outside, with hardly any personnel-mixing to give the Raiders an extra layer of complexity. The problem is they didn't feel Kyle Louis was ready for this game, so they only played him 3 snaps, and he injured his knee on one of those 3 snaps. Figuring this out and not getting the rookie's confidence in the toilet should be top priority.
- From a defensive standpoint the Dolphins will throw away the first 5 drives, where they allowed the better part of 50 yards per drive and 6 yards per play to go along with the 24 points, and try and build on the second 5 drives, where they allowed…

He played in over 94% of defensive snaps in each of the last 4 seasons. 6 of those missed plays came at the start of the third defensive drive, in which Miami drove down the field before Crosby drew a holding penalty on his first play back that helped force a field goal. - 5d Sam Warren (X) Raiders snap counts takeaways besides Crosby: - Ashton Jeanty dominated the backfield share with 50 offensive snaps (74%). Mike Washington Jr.'s 13 snaps were only 3 more than Dylan Laube's 10. - Kwity Paye (32) and Malcolm Koonce (29) were near even in their defensive snap share. - Tonka Hemingway led the DTs in defensive snaps (32). Adam Butler (21), Thomas Booker (19), Jonah Laulu (19) and Foley Fatukasi (19) were all pretty much equal after him. - Tre Tucker and Jalen Nailor are the clear top two WRs. Tucker played 48 snaps (71%) and Nailor 41 (60%). Jack Bech followed with 27 snaps, Cody White had 11, Dareke Young had 10 and Malik Benson had 7. - Lots of heavy personnel as expected.
