If they trade for a TE, it won't be Goedert.
They'll want a blocker.
Maybe Gunnar Helm from Tennessee. · Quoting Colleen : @ErikLambert1 What about a TE with Cole gone? That position is vital to the O. Any chance Dallas Goedert would be available, and/or even a fit for the Bears from a free-falling Philly team?

Biggest issue will be Carter moving around, no matter who is at LG or RT, he can find mismatches. They also have Jordan Davis and Moro Ojomo who can overpower interior at the same time when Carter flexes out.
Offensively, if DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley are still sidelined, Dallas Goedert and Dontayvion Wicks are probably the matchups I’d be concerned about if I was Ejiro Evero.

- Sep 13 Pro Football Talk Dallas Goedert gets the first Eagles TD of the season
- Sep 13 Nicki Jhabvala (X) Not sure what was going on in coverage on Hurts' 64-yard completion to Dontayvion Wicks. Mike Sainristil saw Nick Cross coming over, then turned back and Wicks pulled away. Three plays later, Hurts hit TE Dallas Goedert up the middle on 3rd-and-17 for the TD.
- Sep 13 Dave Zangaro (X) Dallas Goedert gets a touchdown in Week 1 after a career-high 11 in 2025.
- Sep 13 Tashan Reed (Bluesky) Dallas Goedert found a soft spot in the #Commanders' zone and Hurts hit him in stride for the TD. The Eagles take the lead.
- Sep 13 EJ Smith (X) That's a nice job from Jalen Hurts problem solving with his legs. DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert ran into each other on that third-and-5, so Hurts gets off it quick and runs for the first down. #Eagles

Not really criticizing Lemon here, for the record. He's 5-11, 192.
Might just need someone more versatile in the slot (Dallas Goedert?) for certain looks.
