One of the more interesting decisions was keeping quarterback Behren Morton, the 2026 seventh-round pick from Texas Tech, as the third option. It speaks to the importance of the position; notable that four teams kept four QBs on initial 53-man rosters (Eagles, Falcons, Steelers, Vikings), which is unusual. šWould be shocked if the Patriots donāt aggressively address OLB, either on the practice squad or a waiver claim. Teams arenāt giving quality pass-rushers away, but a player like Caleb Murphy ā who played five games for the Patriots last season, was waived by the Giants, and would be a plug-and-play core special teamer at minimum ā would provide the team with some much-needed experienced OLB depth. šFive.
