- This was a hell of a rep by Colby Wooden. Clearly has made an impression on coaches to even be active in this game (18 snaps). Saints got him off waivers from the Colts a little over 2 weeks ago.
- Colby Wooden got 18 snaps, Martin Emerson Jr. got 11. It's not unusual to see depth players get run, but rare to see that much without any injury replacements. Have to wonder whether that's the season-long plan or simply a Week 1 thing where guys might gas out more quickly.
- Ballard said Colby Wooden was a tough cut, and it wasn't as much about him as it was Jerry Tillery and Tim Smith. Said they played better.
