- Oct 25 ESPN NFL Injury Report Russ Yeast: Out
- Oct 25 Paul Dehner Jr. (X) #Bengals inactives (all healthy scratches): S Russ Yeast C Connor Lew OT Myles Hinton DE Shemar Stewart DT Landon Robinson My thoughts on the Shemar Stewart healthy scratch: The Bengals extreme health on the DL coupled with a matchup-specific lean at other positions are why he lands here. The bottom line is Stewart missing camp and preseason has him behind a talented second-wave group. Cashius Howell, Cedric Johnson and Kris Jenkins have earned trust through productive play. They aren’t going to sit any them down for Stewart, who by all accounts is practicing well, but it's hard to prove enough in practice to supplant any of those three on gameday. Eventually, you have to believe Stewart’s moment to play will come with injury issues at some point during the season, it always does. Then, he can will have a path to get reps, start producing and earn his spot. Right now isn’t the time, the trust isn’t high enough. Game Within The Game | Born To Be A Bengal, Russ Yeast Lives On The Edge
Bengals safety Russ Yeast, who nearly lost a leg to football, has never lost his mind, bearings or composure.
- #Bengals inactives: S Bryan Cook (ankle) S Kyle Dugger (quad) LB Swayze Bozeman (groin) OL Myles Hinton WR Colbie Young (knee) DT BJ Hill (Achilles) DT Landon Robinson Notable: Dalton Risner is ACTIVE. Bryan Cook is OUT. -Without Cook and Dugger, the Bengals will turn to PJ Jules, who has eight career defensive snaps, and Russ Yeast, who is up from the practice squad to play opposite Jordan Battle. Reminder, Battle was limited Wednesday and Thursday this week with a hamstring injury. They will badly need him to pull through and play well today. -There are 9 offensive linemen up for the Bengals. This marks the NFL debut of Connor Lew. Risner is active and playing through his injury, but they have an insurance policy behind him with both Bayer and Rivers up.

- A few notes from Al Golden on a week where his secondary is under heavy injury transition. -Slot CB right now is Dax Hill with Josh Newton behind him with Jalen Davis (and Ja'Sir Taylor) on IR. -Golden complimentary about how "unselfish" Hill has been kicking back inside for now. Didn't comment directly on if this will be long term or short-term-mix-and-match. -Said Bryan Cook and Jordan Battle both went through walkthrough today, but at practice they'll be getting Russ Yeast (practice squad) and PJ Jules up to speed, too. - Said they are "pushing" Tacario Davis to get better, working on details, specifically mentioning the "clutching." Pointed out Turner and Hill shared some of their experiences about doing that early in their career with him. Also, pointed out they have a lot of confidence in DJ Ivey (who notably is listed above Davis on the new depth chart). -Golden said he thought the LBs did a lot of good things in the game on Sunday, but obviously need to clean up the…
