Of the 49ers' 8 defensive tryouts today, I'm most intrigued by former Jacksonville DB Christian Braswell. 5-11, 181... He has 169 career snaps in coverage with size adaptability to play both slot and outside.
Braswell has allowed just 0.70 yards/cover snap and a 67.3 passer rating into his coverage over his career, both great marks.
If Upton Stout isn't fully healthy yet, the 49ers will need more help at DB and versatility is essentially mandatory for them at the depth spots. Jacksonville recently cut Braswell with an injury designation but he's healthy now
