Willis could be back to the psquad, though his release is another good sign for George Kittle playing in Week 1.

- Also, remember that the 49ers will be running more 3-4/OLB stuff under new DC Raheem Morris. That means outside linebacker types will more frequently take on edge-rushing responsibilities and it could impact how heavily SF stocks the standard DE room. Someone like LB Jaden Dugger has even practiced with the DEs. "Standard" DEs on the initial 53... -Nick Bosa -Keion White -Sam Okuayinonu -Romello Height That's enough for a game day rotation, especially given Dugger's versatility.
