Quite a bit of poor spacing the from the 49ers' WR on tape — stuff that was inherently expected from an offense down 5 WR.
It was actually notable that Purdy nearly hit 300 yards despite this, *and* despite 2 of best throws to Jordan Watkins being ruled incompete.
49ers scheduled to get 4 of the WR back. Seems that "instant" affordable help would have to come via some one like Jauan Jennings, who's already familiar with the playbook and route depth, etc.
But the Vikings have almost no incentive to help the 49ers, their main competition for the NFC #1 seed

- Justin Jefferson, always a great leader, on Jauan Jennings' slow start and frustration: "Jauan has been doing great for us. Everybody sees what he does in the blocking game. They don't really see the amount of routes he's getting open on and the different plays that he could be making. It's just not getting to his hands at this point in time. Which is OK. It's fine. Obviously he's gonna be frustrated because he wants that ball and he feels like he's worked that route or that moment to get the ball and create that separation. That's every player, every guy that wants to have a big moment and a big role in a game. The ball is just not finding him at this moment, but it will. And once it will, we're gonna see Jauan smiling on that sideline, and everybody's gonna be pumped up to see him in the end zone or to see him have that big play."

He’s had a couple (passing game) chances where maybe, either the rhythm and timing or just a little more detail showing up out of the group as a whole, Jauan included — but we’re not far off, and Jauan’s gonna be a guy that’s gonna make some plays for us.”
