Some good ones in the replies (I was thinking mostly the past decade or so):
Jay Ajayi in 2017 is a good example of a non-blockbuster that paid off.
CMC is a good example of a blockbuster that paid off immediately and long-term.
(Odell was signed as a free agent by the Rams) · Quoting Dan Duggan: Somewhat rhetorical, but also partly crowd-resourcing to save me some research, how often does a trade at the deadline lead a team to postseason success?
The two that jump out are Rashid Shaheed last year and Von Miller to the Rams. Any others?

- Ja'Quan McMillian is only one of five Broncos to have have two games of 0.5+ sacks and an INT in Broncos history. Von Miller, Bill Romanowski, Louis Wright and Dennis Smith also did it. Pretty good company for JMac.
- More David Bailey: Only 13 rookies (since at least 1982) have started their career with at least five sacks in five games, per Stathead. The last one was James Houston for the Lions (and Aaron Glenn) in 2022. The only Jet to do it: Hugh Douglas in 1995. It's a list that also includes Von Miller, Elvis Dumervil and Simeon Rice.
