Today is waiver day. Important to note that the #Jets have the No. 2 priority, behind the Raiders.
Not as many QBs were released as expected, as a handful of teams are carrying four (for now). Notable QBs cut: Will Levis, Jake Browning, Nick Mullens and Josh Johnson. #Jets

- Not much crossover with Bucs on the Bengals roster -- nobody on the 53, TE Tanner Hudson and QB Josh Johnson on the practice squad. Davis Koetter -- Dirk's son -- is assistant receivers coach. Zac Taylor was a Bucs QB briefly in summer of 2007.
- Keyshawn James-Newby chased down Josh Johnson for a sack. KJN missed a lot of camp with an ankle injury, which is a shame. He has some juice.

- If the #Jets decide to dive into the backup QB market, some possibilities: Andy Dalton (Frank Reich connection) Tanner McKee Sam Ehlinger (Reich connection) Dillon Gabriel Aidan O'Connell Will Levis J.J. McCarthy Sam Howell Jake Browning Josh Johnson
- Some potential QB options out there if Jets are looking to add via waivers/trade: - Andy Dalton (PHI): Would be an ideal mentor for Klubnik - Tanner McKee (PHI): Would appear price has gone down since he’s been not good in preseason - Aidan O’Connell (LV): He’d be high on my list if he breaks free. Has been OK, some NFL experience. Can do the job in a pinch. Only 27. - Dillon Gabriel (CLE): Had a good preseason finale - Sam Ehlinger (DEN): Played for Frank Reich in 2022. - Josh Johnson (CIN): Jets legend - Kyle McCord (GB): Had a really good preseason - JJ McCarthy (MIN): Idk man - Joe Fagnano (BAL): UDFA, had a good preseason - Will Levis (TEN): I wouldn’t but 🤷🏻♂️
