Game Plays 2 touchdowns, sacks, drives — live action, not lineup news
- 2/3 Caleb Williams’ TD pass to Cole Kmet was elite, with analyst Drew Brees remarking: “The throw and the catch do not get any better.” But Williams was at his best IMO late in first half engineering a 6-play, 80-yard TD drive in 2:13. After being sacked on first play, he completed passes on four straight snaps for 72 yards, including a “jump man” 28-yarder to a sprawling Kalif Raymond and a 24-yard frozen rope to Luther Burden III. Williams followed with a 29-yard TD scramble. I’ve watched Bears since 1970s and have not seen another QB make plays like the ones Caleb produces.

- Darnell Wright and D'Andre Swift are locked up. Every #Bears offensive contract issue has been addressed. Except one. Cole Kmet will soon become a serious topic of discussion, and his situation just got more complicated. (1/2)
- 1. A huge emphasis this offseason for Caleb Williams was attacking tighter throwing windows. Ben Johnson knew the #Bears' QB couldn't reach his full potential by protecting the ball so much. This TD to Cole Kmet is the result of that work, and the NFL should be terrified.
-
My lord what a throw by Caleb Williams. Cole Kmet with the TD catch over Devin Lloyd. Chicago up 21-7.

- Cole Kmet understands the dangers of public comments. That is why the #Bears tight end is so good at keeping his words carefully neutral. It's also why his latest grand statement about the 2026 team is so jarring. (1/2)
