Klint Kubiak on the snap breakdown between Ashton Jeanty and Mike Washington Jr.:
"Most games I've been in, it never turns out exactly how you plan it. A lot of times, you're riding the guy that has the hot hand. We've got two guys who are playing good football. Ashton, obviously, had a really good game. We expect more from Mike. Not that he didn't play well-- I think Mike played really well. If he were to get 10 more carries, I know he'd do a great job. But it was his first NFL game, and so you have to look at how he responded against ones versus ones." · Quoting Sam Warren: Raiders snap counts takeaways besides Crosby:
- Ashton Jeanty dominated the backfield share with 50 offensive snaps (74%). Mike Washington Jr.'s 13 snaps were only 3 more than Dylan Laube's 10.
- Kwity Paye (32) and Malcolm Koonce (29) were near even in their defensive snap share.
- Tonka Hemingway led the DTs in defensive snaps (32). Adam Butler (21), Thomas Booker (19), Jonah Laulu (19) and Foley Fatukasi…

Crazy OL lineup the Raiders just threw out in warmups with Fernando Mendoza at quarterback
LT: Trey Zuhn III
LG: Caleb Rogers
C: Tyler Linderbaum
RG: Jackson Powers-Johnson
RT: Charles Grant
Zuhn, Rogers and Grant all at positions they didn't play at all in during camp.
Why it's #3 Fernando Mendoza (top-150)
- Raiders OL lineups remained mostly the same after cutdown day. Kirk Cousins took snaps from Tyler Linderbaum in walkthrough, and Jackson Powers-Johnson was at RG with that group. Fernando Mendoza took snaps from practice squad member Will Putnam, while Caleb Rogers was at RG and Trey Zuhn was at RT with that group. Aidan O'Connell didn't have a C to work with after cuts :(

- Oct 25 Sam Warren (X) Raiders red zone struggles continue. A loss of 5 on an Ashton Jeanty run results in them having to kick a field goal. Trail 7-3 as the first quarter is closing. Think Jeanty is running hard today. But Spencer Burford and Caleb Rogers were straight up beat in zone scheme on loss.

- Sep 11 Sam Warren (X) Kubiak on what he wants Mendoza to observe from Kirk Cousins as the backup: "I am encouraging him to know his reads and progressions, to know the game plan. What the guys take off of each other comes through osmosis. So he's just gotta get his butt ready to roll. The people in front of them are there to produce as well. And if he learned something from their preparation, I think that's a good thing. That's why we have (Cousins) there. But most importantly, we have (Cousins) there to go play and go win the game." · Quoting Sam Warren: Klint Kubiak confirmed that Fernando Mendoza will be the backup quarterback on Sunday. - Sep 11 Sam Warren (X) Kubiak on the challenges for Mendoza if he has to go in as a backup: "That's the life of an NFL backup. That's why he's got to be the most mature guy in the room. A guy that can prepare on his own, in the darkness, in the shadows. And then when called upon, go win the game." · Quoting Sam Warren: Klint Kubiak confirmed that Fernando Mendoza will be the backup quarterback on Sunday.
