- Aug 31 David Lombardi (X) For those wondering if 49ers OT Enrique Cruz Jr. would've been claimed if waived: 5 tackles were claimed on waivers today. Two of them were 2025 6th-round picks, one was a 2026 UDFA, and one was former 49er Jarrett Kingston (who's more of a guard but has played some tackle). Can't say with certainty, but seems likely Cruz — a 5th-round pick with impressive measurables and full 4 years of rookie contract still there — might've been an appealing add at a low-supply, high-demand position. 49ers clearly didn't want to chance it and they have a lot more intel than we do on the outside
